GOOD TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL, OVERCOMING CHRISTIAN LIVING
Quiet time in prayer and meditation is the most valuable time of your day. During that time this morning, the lord reminded me of something he said to me on one occasion while I was preaching and teaching the word. I quoted the often-used phrase; “You know, experience is the best teacher.” Instantly, I heard in my spirit man these words;
“I thought I was!”
My father, RL Davis, who I thought “walked on water,” said this to me on one occasion; “Son, learn everything you can from other people’s mistakes, you will never live long enough to learn everything by experience…” The written word and the rhema word of God will never disappoint us.

OH! – How much error and trouble and financial waste we could avoid if we learned to more carefully listen to that inner voice. I ended up with a leg cast over a compound fracture of two broken bones in my right leg, halfway between my knee and my ankle, (I was 29 years old) because I literally argued with a warning voice in my spirit. The voice said, “If you keep going that woman is going to come out and run over you.” I argued; “No, she wouldn’t do that.” I was on a small motorcycle. I was five months in that leg cast. I had a marvelous overnight healing from the Lord following that incident but think of all the pain and money and other suffering I could have avoided if I had been more sensitive to that guardian angels voice.
He teaches us in a variety of ways. 1. By the ‘inner voice.’ 2. By ‘dreams.’ 3. Through ‘other people’s mouths.’ ( I don’t know how many times He has spoken to me through my wife Thelma’s mouth). No wonder a wife is called a “help meet.” 4. By ‘unexpected events.’ He guides us through dark paths by a ‘nudge’ from his spirit.“ 5. “A voice behind me” to quote Jeremiah. 6. Through ‘common sense’. 7. Through ‘speaking in tongues’ and waiting for the interpretation in your spirit. 8. You can get a ‘red light’ so to speak in your spirit, or you will get a ‘green light’ feeling. ‘Stop and/or go’.
Good example: David and the mulberry trees. What worked last time may not work next time. 9. And, “By angels unawares.”
The longer you ‘walk in the spirit’ the easier it gets. 10. ABOVE ALL- “follow peace.”
So often the ‘bad thing’ that Satan throws in our path is turned into a tool to help us gain the thing we are dreaming and believing for.
We can’t lose when we ‘walk in the spirit.’
Instead of singing, ”Why me Lord,”– let’s pray as David did;

FOUR ANCHORS THAT WILL HOLD YOUR SHIP,- IN THE MIDDLE OF ANY STORM…
Thelma and I will celebrated our 67th anniversary on June 1st of this year. Like many of you, we have come through some very threatening storms.
Our nation is in a time of upheaval and extreme uncertainty. Satanic efforts to destroy the freedoms and liberties we have always known, and also our Christian way of life, are threatening us on every hand and are constantly seen on every news broadcast.
The experience of Paul on board the ship in the stormy sea, in Acts 27, can speak to us right now. Nobody but Paul believed they could survive that storm. They were in a panic, running back and forth, – throwing up, and tossing every thing overboard they could find to lighten the ship and help their chances. They hadn’t seen the sunshine or the moon and stars in fourteen days. They did everything they could think of but the storm just kept coming. Can’t sleep, wouldn’t eat! They even threw the food away to lighten the ship. They wrapped the ship with ropes, but board by board the ship was creaking and falling apart. Where are we? What are we going to do? Can’t somebody think of something? HELP – SOMEBODY!!! But their voices were almost silenced by the screaming wind and the pounding waves.
I think that is a fairly accurate description of what is happening to our beloved – SHIP USA. But, –they had an anointed believer on board, who knew the voice of God when he heard it. He stood up in the middle of that dismantling ship, while it was crashing on the rocks and cried out: “— keep up your courage, God told me not one of you will be lost. I have faith in God that it will happen just like He told me.” As the story goes, “they dropped four anchors and wished for the day”
Let me give you four anchors that will hold you firm and fearless in the course of the pending storm. They are listed in 1st Cor. 13:
FIRST ANCHOR – LOVE: –
If God is LOVE, then love will never fail you. That anchor gets a good grip on the bottom of the ocean, and the bottom of the ocean doesn’t move. It doesn’t matter what the ocean does, the bottom of the ocean doesn’t move. Love will conquer anything. We are not forced to trust in love, but if you do it will not fail you. Don’t pull anchor on love!
SECOND ANCHOR – HOPE: –
In Hebrews 6:19 HOPE is called “an anchor of the soul, firm and secure” (NIV) Romans 5:5 assures us that ”HOPE maketh not ashamed…” Shame goes with losing, joy goes with winning. David said “What time I am afraid, I will hope in the Lord” Be sure to cast that anchor and don’t pull anchor until these “calamities be overpast”.
THIRD ANCHOR – FAITH: –
Do you remember Jesus question to Peter when he began to sink in the waves, “Wherefore did you doubt” Don’t pull your faith anchor. If you pay attention to the news more than you watch God’s word you will find your self ‘pulling anchor.’ This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith”
FOURTH ANCHOR – WORK:
In all of our sixty years of ministry, preaching and doing the word, I have realized something about how God blesses His children. Someone said it this way: “God is a good checker player, if it is your turn to move, – He waits.” God never promised to do my part and His too. Jesus said this, “My father worketh hitherto, – and I work.” When I do everything I know to do and it still isn’t enough, then I can depend on God to do something to make up the difference.
Cast these four anchors, LOVE, HOPE, FAITH AND WORKS, and watch for the day to dawn. Things are going to continually change in this nation. When we do 11 Chronicles 7:14 and keep our anchors connected to the bottom of the ocean we are going to see salvation for us and our children. Do not ever despair, I believe God that it shall be even as he has told us. SELAH!

When I pray for our nation my faith will support this prayer:
That God would send the wind of the Holy Ghost across this nation and awake this giant Christian army once again, – raise us up to be the mighty force that we were created to be. That we stand up and be strong in bold faith to conquer evil. And, that that mighty wind of the Holy Ghost will blow away the chaff, (Psalm One) and rid us of any leadership that is directing us away from the Christian principles that was established in our constitution from the Bible. Yes, my faith will support that kind of prayer. I let God be the judge between the wheat and the chaff.

I received an earned doctor’s degree in the early 80’s from Gulf Coast University, Panama Beach, Florida.

I started preaching at age 19, but I was 40 (1977) before 11 Cor. 9:6 got my attention. How can you give abundantly when it is challenging just to pay tithe? I saw it as a faith problem. When that changed, our giving changed. When our percentages in giving changed our life changed. We never went back to giving sparingly. We got out of debt in 1999 including our home. We haven’t had to borrow money since 1987. That’s 35 years. Listen to the Holy Ghost. He will challenge you, – but He will never miss-lead you…TRUST IS THE HIGHEST FORM OFFAITH! We pray every day for favor and blessings on our partners. We will share equally in our heavenly rewards, – plus the benefits ‘now in this time!’

This is the first book I ever wrote following my insights into liberality. It is now being translated into the Urdu language in Pakistan. Our ministry connection and partner in Pakistan, Anil Jasper has already distributed over 500 of our other books in the local language. Both books are about ‘God and money.’ The book titled 15 MOSTCOMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS ON TITHING is the next to be distributed. Our ministry (you and us/we) pays for all of it, – including the postage (averaging close to $9 per mailing overseas). We also give our nine books freely to any of our partners on request. Just 2 days ago I sent 7 separate mailings to overseas destinations. These requests are made through email. Most of these go to Africa. We have sent hundreds of our books to Africa, Pakistan, and other countries.
QUESTION?
Why does God tell us to love Israel and to pray for the peace of Jerusalem? I know He is going to keep His covenant promise that He made with Abraham back in Genesis whether I pray or don’t pray. He has kept Israel all through their ungodly failures, including the rejection and crucifixion of Jesus their Messiah. So why love Israel and pray for Jerusalem?
ANSWER: Because God wants His children to ‘love what He loves’ and ‘hate what He hates’. He wants me to ‘agree with Him’. He wants me to ‘think like He thinks.’ He wants me to ‘want what He wants.’ I can’t go through life doing what ‘I think is right’ and maintain God’s favor. His favor is like the rain and the dew that makes the flowers grow. I don’t understand it all, but I believe it all. Things just go better and right when I ‘agree with God’. This is why we ‘Study His word’ to “show ourselves ‘approved of God’…” (11Timothy 2:15)
Our greatest asset in life is our family, and our friends and partners. Our two sons, five grand-children and all seventeen great grand’s love and serve the Lord. I decree before the Lord that we will all be in heaven in the next life, – and the devil can’t stop it! Let me know by email of any prayer needs you may have. This is the first book I ever wrote following my insights into liberality. It is now being translated into the Urdu language in Pakistan. Our ministry connection and partner in Pakistan, Anil Jasper has already distributed over 500 of our other books in the local language. Both books are about ‘God and money.’ The book titled 15 MOSTCOMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS ON TITHING is the next to be distributed. Our ministry (you and us/we) pays for all of it, – including the postage (averaging close to $9 per mailing overseas). We also give our nine books freely to any of our partners on request. Just 2 days ago I sent 7 separate mailings to overseas destinations. These requests are made through email. Most of these go to Africa. We have sent hundreds of our books to Africa, Pakistan, and other countries.
QUESTION?
Why does God tell us to love Israel and to pray for the peace of Jerusalem? I know He is going to keep His covenant promise that He made with Abraham back in Genesis whether I pray or don’t pray. He has kept Israel all through their ungodly failures, including the rejection and crucifixion of Jesus their Messiah. So why love Israel and pray for Jerusalem?
ANSWER: Because God wants His children to ‘love what He loves’ and ‘hate what He hates’. He wants me to ‘agree with Him’. He wants me to ‘think like He thinks.’ He wants me to ‘want what He wants.’ I can’t go through life doing what ‘I think is right’ and maintain God’s favor. His favor is like the rain and the dew that makes the flowers grow. I don’t understand it all, but I believe it all. Things just go better and right when I ‘agree with God’. This is why we ‘Study His word’ to “show ourselves ‘approved of God’…” (11Timothy 2:15)
Our greatest asset in life is our family, and our friends and partners. Our two sons, five grand-children and all seventeen great grand’s love and serve the Lord. I decree before the Lord that we will all be in heaven in the next life, – and the devil can’t stop it! Let me know by email of any prayer needs you may have. This can’t possibly tell it all, but it is a lifetime of love and service to our Lord. This is the personal side. You already know our ministry and our work. I share this collage in honor of our Lord, and you our partners that have shared in it with us.

I received an earned doctor’s degree in the early 80’s from Gulf Coast University, Panama Beach, Florida.

GREAT IT IS TO DREAM THE DREAM, WHEN YOU STAND IN YOUTH BY THE STARRY STREAM, BUT GREATER STILL TO FIGHT LIFE THROUGH AND SAY AT THE END – THE DREAM IS TRUE!
I started preaching at age 19, but I was 40 (1977) before 11 Cor. 9:6 got my attention. How can you give abundantly when it is challenging just to pay tithe? I saw it as a faith problem. When that changed, our giving changed. When our percentages in giving changed our life changed. We never went back to giving sparingly. We got out of debt in 1999 including our home. In the beginning was the word…and the word was light…and the light shines in darkness…” (John 1 verse 1)
Sending to our partners a special 2022 greeting in keeping with 3rd John 2,
It is our common belief that we will see that light again in physical form. That light has only been visible to the physical eye for 33 years. People actually handled that light with their hands. They saw that light beaten with a whip, then nailed to a wooden cross as blood flowed from his open wounds. They saw that light buried in a tomb with a great stone rolled over it. They saw 16 Roman soldiers stationed there to guarantee that it wouldn’t shine again. But it did…
When that physical light ascended into heaven with over 500 people watching it, an angel broke the silence with the announcement; “You will see him coming again in like manner as you have seen him go…” That light did return 50 days later and entered about 120 people. It now began to shine through other physical bodies, – “by His spirit that now dwelled in them.” AND now “dwells in us….” It shines through us when we pass ‘His Word’ along. We can’t feel that physical light with our hands, – but OH! – how we feel Him ‘in our hearts’!
But until he physically returns… I love to tell the story of that light, as I know you also do.Thelma and I have been telling this story for almost 67 years now, both physically and through the printed page. I was asked yesterday, by a pastor of a successful world ministry, if I would do it again? Can you guess my answer? OH YES…! “The entrance of that word gives light…” and “that light will shine brighter and brighter until the perfect day.”
Of the nine books that I have written about that light, this book pictured here is the first ‘revealed light’ that God gave me on ‘living asuccessful life NOW in this time.’ This book is now translated into the Urdu language for Pakistan. It will be distributed by a ministry there that God has connected us with. Pakistan is deeply buried in the Islam religion. It is indeed a place where “the light is dim…” and the pathway is dark. I (we, with our partners) send money there to help him distribute that light. He has now translated three (3) of our books for that nation in their language. The following is a letter that I am passing along for your ‘joy and rejoicing’ to see what our seed his doing.

“Beloved in the Lord, I wanted to text you that I need a personal copy of a book from you. Thank you for everything you have done for a friend of mine with a book she got from your generosity. whom have now grown so much through your book which has given her light and guidance and healing. A year ago from today was when we both had our first deliverance. I just want to say that what you do changes lives. God uses you tremendously and may you be blessed abundantly in Him. This is only ‘one of hundreds’ of such letters that we have received of ‘request and thanksgiving.’ These books are our ‘goers’ and we, with our partners, are the ‘senders.’ You now know “the rest of the story….”
His WORD will not return void (ineffective), but it will accomplish that purpose for which it was sent.” (Isaiah 55:11)
All three of these books THE CROWN OF THORNS, SHOULD I SPEAK IN TONGUES, and THE IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING UP YOUR JOY LEVEL, are now translated in the Urdu language. Pray with me for an increase in partners for further distribution. I stand strong in my daily prayers for you. I plead 3rd John 2 over all our partners as a daily lifestyle. Thelma and I both have dealt with something of this like for the last three weeks. We have not been to a doctor except by way of telephone. He prescribed a five day antibiotic which we both have completed. We are both coming out of it OK, but it has been a diligent faith battle. We personally have chosen not to take the vax. Most of our family feels the same way. We encourage all of our partners to stand firm on the unchanging word of our God. With or without the injections, we take our stand on what we know will not change. We are thankful for any meds that are helpful. Let there be no condemnation on either position. We have felt the prayers and love of our partners who have stood with us “through it all.” Many of our partners have fought battles along these lines. We win because we won’t quit!
PRAYER OF AGREEMENT FOR ‘ANY AFFLICTED AMONG US’
Our blessed Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth, I come before you according to your unchanging word, making my petition clear. I take the position of David in Psalm 91. “No plague (pandemic) shall come near my dwelling. I resist every disease or affliction that makes an attack on my house. The precious blood of Jesus is on my door. The plague has no right to enter here. I am not under condemnation for anything. I have been forgiven and ‘redeemed from the curse’ by God Almighty’s divine plan. I am saved, I am saved…. redeemed by the ‘blood of the Lamb’. There may be reports of a thousand falling at my right hand, and ten thousand on my left, but I declare that it shall not come past the blood line under which I am covered. NOW,- Satan, I resist you and I command you to leave my body alone. I have authority and power over you by the authority of the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Now, I thank you Wonderful Father for doing all, and even more than I know to ask,
